This year we welcome Rev. Ralph D'Elia to St. Thomas to lead our Lenten Retreat. The retreat will be held March 10 through 12 at 3:00 pm in the church. The theme is: “He has Loved Us: Encountering the Love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.” Fr. Ralph was ordained a priest of the Diocese of St. Petersburg in 2019. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida before entering seminary formation. He attended St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami, Florida, followed by theological studies at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. While in Rome, he earned a Bachelors in Theology and a Licentiate in Moral Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. After ordination, Fr. Ralph served as Parochial Vicar at the Cathedral of St. Jude. He currently serves as Priest Secretary and Master of Ceremonies to Bishop Gregory Parkes and Chaplain at St. Petersburg Catholic High School. Fr. Ralph visited St. Thomas with Bishop Parkes on July 2, 2023, at the 10:30 am Mass to celebrate the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle (July 3).
