The Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus is a Religious Congregation founded in Nigeria in 1931 by a Religious Sister of Charity, Mother Mary Charles Magdalen Walker, RSC, Servant of God, in response to the many needs of Africa. Today, they have over 885 Professed Sisters, working in seven countries in Africa - (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Togo and Tanzania); three countries in Europe (England, Germany and Italy); North America (the United States of America, and Canada); and Grenada in West Indies.
Their mission in African countries provides rehabilitation, care for the vulnerable children and education of students with low vision, partial vision, total blindness and low-income families, as well as rehabilitation of women and young adult returnee victims of trafficking, etc.
They need our financial assistance to continue these missions. They also need funds to: provide fresh water (bore holds); buy educational materials like textbooks and instructional materials, braille machines, audio materials; start off kits (sewing machines, etc.) and feeding and clothing for the underserved under their care. Your support of this worthy cause will be an immense encouragement to the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus, as they continue to serve God in the poor. May God bless you.
